POLICE are ask­ing the pub­lic for help to iden­tify the man and woman pic­tured above. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion is asked to call Cock­burn Police on 9418 9777.


COCK­BURN police are warn­ing Hamil­ton Hill res­i­dents to lock their doors and windows af­ter a spate of day­time home bur­glar­ies in the area last week.


A 24-YEAR-OLD man died af­ter falling 15 me­tres through a hole in the floor at the old power sta­tion on April 30. Police be­lieve the By­ford man and a woman were on the sta­tion’s sec­ond level when he fell. Emer­gency Ser­vices at­tended but the man died a short time later at the scene. Police will pre­pare a re­port for the Coroner. The power sta­tion, dor­mant since 1985, will be re­de­vel­oped to ac­com­mo­date apart­ments, shops, cafes, bars, gal­leries and small of­fices as part of the Cock­burn Coast re­ju­ve­na­tion project. The sta­tion is the third part of the re­de­vel­op­ment.


ON Tues­day Fe­bru­ary 23, bolt cut­ters were used to steal a black and grey Gi­ant moun­tain bike from the North Fre­man­tle train sta­tion plat­form. Police want to speak to the man pic­tured on the right who they be­lieve can help them with their in­quiries. Any­one with in­for- ma­tion is asked to call Crime Stop­pers.


DE­TEC­TIVES are ask­ing the pub­lic for help to find the cul­prits be­hind a num­ber of com­mer­cial bur­glar­ies on the night of May 3. The in­ci­dents oc­curred at a liquor store on Duoro Road in South Fre­man­tle, a café on South Street in O’Con­nor a newsagency in Boor­a­goon and a liquor store on Ar­dross Road in Ap­ple­cross. Police say in all the in­ci­dents, two of­fend­ers used a sledge­ham­mer and a crow bar to gain en­try to the premises. The ve­hi­cle used was a sil­ver 2016 Nis­san Navara ute, which had been stolen ear­lier that night in Pad­bury. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion is asked to call Crime Stop­pers.
