COCKBURN police are warning Hamilton Hill residents to lock their doors and windows after a spate of daytime home burglaries in the area last week.
3 NORTH COOGEE
A 24-YEAR-OLD man died after falling 15 metres through a hole in the floor at the old power station on April 30. Police believe the Byford man and a woman were on the station’s second level when he fell. Emergency Services attended but the man died a short time later at the scene. Police will prepare a report for the Coroner. The power station, dormant since 1985, will be redeveloped to accommodate apartments, shops, cafes, bars, galleries and small offices as part of the Cockburn Coast rejuvenation project. The station is the third part of the redevelopment.
4 NORTH FREMANTLE
ON Tuesday February 23, bolt cutters were used to steal a black and grey Giant mountain bike from the North Fremantle train station platform. Police want to speak to the man pictured on the right who they believe can help them with their inquiries. Anyone with infor- mation is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
5 SOUTH FREMANTLE
DETECTIVES are asking the public for help to find the culprits behind a number of commercial burglaries on the night of May 3. The incidents occurred at a liquor store on Duoro Road in South Fremantle, a café on South Street in O’Connor a newsagency in Booragoon and a liquor store on Ardross Road in Applecross. Police say in all the incidents, two offenders used a sledgehammer and a crow bar to gain entry to the premises. The vehicle used was a silver 2016 Nissan Navara ute, which had been stolen earlier that night in Padbury. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
