LEARN about the different facets of Fremantle history at the University of Notre Dame during the upcoming Heritage Festival.
With a history as rich as Fremantle’s, there is always a fascinating story residents and visitors alike are yet to hear. The university will hold a number of lectures and interactive walking tours to help people with a thirst to learn more about key local personalities, historical landmarks and life-changing events.
University of Notre Dame professor Deborah Gare said the Heritage Festival was a significant community event on the university’s calendar.
“We delve into the life and times of one of WA’s oldest communities to ensure its stories live on for many generations to come,” she said.
“Our exciting program for 2016 brings the vibrant, human histories of Fremantle to life.
“We hope this encourages everyone to continue this great art of storytelling, sharing the tales of this vibrant city and the personalities that have contributed its longevity.”
