AN AGED care centre in Hamilton Hill has thanked volunteers during an afternoon tea on Friday.

The tea is one of a number of social activities that will be held by the not-for-profit organisation throughout May.

Volunteers take on gardening, cooking, driving, sports, games, arts and crafts and everything in between.

With 600 volunteers, Bethanie’s outreach program manager Laurette LeCras said it was clear how important their contribution is. “Whether it’s through social interaction with a resident, running a games group like bingo or even those who can help with one off special events, every little bit makes such a big difference and really helps to brighten the day of our clients,” she said.”
