PO­LICE are in­ves­ti­gat­ing 15 ac­counts of steal­ing from Fre­man­tle Ceme­tery among the 70 re­ported thefts from cars parked at or near metropoli­tan ceme­ter­ies over the past four months. On May 7 a 71year-old woman's car was stolen from Kar­rakatta Ceme­tery. The car was driven to Guild­ford Ceme­tery where more items were stolen from an­other car. CCTV footage cap­tured a man us­ing the woman's bank card at a Fre­man­tle sports store about 9.30am. Footage was also cap­tured at a South Fre­man­tle liquor store. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion is asked to call Crime Stop­pers.

At 10.15pm on May 14 a woman had her hand­bag snatched as she walked along Hol­land Street. About 11.50pm the same night, po­lice be­lieve the same of­fend­ers stole an­other woman’s hand­bag on Ellen Street. The two of­fend­ers are de­scribed as hav­ing

dark skin, aged 18 to 25 and wear­ing dark coloured hood­ies and dark pants. They were seen leaving the area in a sil­ver or gold coloured wagon. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion is asked to call Crime Stop­pers.
