PROBLEM SEEN

Cockburn Gazette - - OPINION -

AFTER three years complaining about the speeding and increase traffic problem on Osprey Drive and Yangebup Drive, the wait is over.

I had a Cockburn council traffic road planning technical officer come out and we both witnessed the careless drivers.

On Wednesday, July 6 between 4 and 4.15pm, we witnessed about 100 vehicles pass in front of my house on Osprey Drive.

About 95 per cent of the vehicles were over the 50km/h speed limit and one four-wheel-drive vehicle went up on the footpath for about 15 metres to pass another vehicle.

One truck was doing more than 70km/h and two Transperth buses more than 60km/h.

In addition, vehicles were tailgating. WAYNE DENNIS, Yangebup.
