Cougars dominate Magic to a big win
COCKBURN has flexed its muscles ahead of the finals with a big win over the Mandurah Magic on Friday.
The Cougars dominated the Magic 108 to 75, with an allround performance getting the job done.
Rhett Della Maddalena scored 20 points and Najee Lane 19, with Marcus Goode scoring 22.
Mandurah’s Trevor scored 22 in the loss.
Lakeside’s season is now done after two losses over the weekend.
Daniel Alexander scored 43 but it was not enough as the Lightning went down to the Willetton Tigers 104 to 101 on Friday.
By Saturday the steam was out of the legs and it showed as Setty the Lightning lost 97 to 82 against Perth. TJ Hallice scored 26 points in the loss.
In the women’s division Cockburn kept is season alive with a close win over Mandurah. Candace Williams scored 16 and Chelsea Evans 10 in the 58 to 55 win.
On Friday Lakeside lost 72 to 66 against Willetton before being hammered 69 to 42 against Perth.
