Cougars dom­i­nate Magic to a big win

COCK­BURN has flexed its mus­cles ahead of the fi­nals with a big win over the Man­durah Magic on Fri­day.

The Cougars dom­i­nated the Magic 108 to 75, with an all­round per­for­mance get­ting the job done.

Rhett Della Mad­dalena scored 20 points and Na­jee Lane 19, with Mar­cus Goode scor­ing 22.

Man­durah’s Trevor scored 22 in the loss.

Lake­side’s sea­son is now done af­ter two losses over the week­end.

Daniel Alexan­der scored 43 but it was not enough as the Light­ning went down to the Wil­let­ton Tigers 104 to 101 on Fri­day.

By Satur­day the steam was out of the legs and it showed as Setty the Light­ning lost 97 to 82 against Perth. TJ Hal­lice scored 26 points in the loss.

In the women’s divi­sion Cock­burn kept is sea­son alive with a close win over Man­durah. Can­dace Wil­liams scored 16 and Chelsea Evans 10 in the 58 to 55 win.

On Fri­day Lake­side lost 72 to 66 against Wil­let­ton be­fore be­ing ham­mered 69 to 42 against Perth.
