Cockburn Gazette - - STREET WATCH -

STUDENTS from seven primary schools will take part in a massive music event in Atwell on Thursday which the public can attend for a gold coin donation.

Success Primary School music specialist Jenny Gaunt said the aim of the inaugural Cockburn Choral Festival, to be held at Atwell Primary School, was to create an event with 100 per cent participation.

“It will involve schools performing for each other and alongside each other in a massed choir,” she said.

“It will also feature the Music: Count Us In song, Let It Play, which is a national celebration run by Music Australia to promote the value of music education in schools.”

Atwell, Aubin Grove, Beeliar, Hammond Park, Harmony, Jandakot and Success PS students will perform from 9.30am-11.30am.
