Brains get a work­out

STU­DENTS from three lo­cal pri­mary schools gave their brains a work­out at a re­cent Scitech com­pe­ti­tion.

Christ the King, St Jerome’s and Hil­ton pri­mary stu­dents par­tic­i­pated in a num­ber of sci­ence, tech­nol­ogy, en­gi­neer­ing and maths prob­lem solv­ing ac­tiv­i­ties as part of the Scitech Brain­storm Chal­lenge Days.

Event co-or­di­na­tor Tara Broad­hurst said it was bro­ken up into a num­ber of unique chal­lenges in ar­eas such as as­tron­omy, cod­ing and en­gi­neer­ing.

St Jerome’s took sec­ond place in their group, just ahead of Christ the King.
