Hasleby assists Dockers women
FREMANTLE champion Paul Hasleby will return to the Dockers as an assistant with the women’s side for the inaugural AFLW season.
Hasleby joins Michelle Cowan’s side as one of four assistant coaches.
The pair previously worked together during Cowan’s time as coach of the WA U18 youth girls’ team.
“Paul’s seen the passion and the drive that these girls have and he wants to be a part of it too,” Cowan said. “I can tell he’s really excited at this new challenge...
“He’ll be great for me as a support and to hold me accountable.”
Martine Pearman, head coach of the Coastal Titans in the WAWFL, is also on the panel, as is South Fremantle reserves coach Tony Walters and former West Perth colts coach Craig Thomas.
“We wanted to make sure we had the right people on board, so while it was a long process, on reflection I’m glad we took our time,” Cowan said.
“We’ve got an incredible panel together and I know the girls will flourish from their knowledge and their experience.
“I’m looking forward to get everyone together and I think we’ll work really well and help the girls take their football to a new level.”
