Cockburn Gazette - - NEWS -

On behalf of the Artwalk Freo host and guest artists, I write to express our appreciation to the public who visited the AWF 2017 “Living Studios” during our recent Fremantle community event.

It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the glorious weather while walking, cycling, acquainting themselves with the area.

Most importantly, they took pleasure from each other’s company while immersing themselves in the creative diversity of the home studios.

Local retailers were discovered and roaming visitors were offered refreshments while they browsed, adding another dimension to their Fremantle experience.

It is no small effort preparing for such an event.

This year we counted more than 2000 visitors and are pleased to report that there wasnot a dropped tissue or a broken twig left behind. To our visitors – thank you for your grace and respect. To our sponsors and the City of Fremantle thank you for joining us on Artwalk Freo and to our art colleagues and friends who gave up their weekend to assist – our heartfelt thanks.

We look forward to welcoming you again with fresh ideas in 2019.
