Gold for health initiative
NORTH Lake Senior Campus was among the first schools in the state to be recognised for its work targeting improved health and wellbeing.
The local campus scored a gold award for completing Changing Health Acting Together (CHAT), an initiative developed and funded by School Drug Education and Road Aware.
The program integrates road safety, alcohol and drug education into classroom learning and other school practices. Thirty-eight schools from metro and regional WA were recognised at the 2017 CHAT Achievement Awards with many showing road safety and drug education work done by students and staff.
