FEELING A BIT RANDY

Cockburn Gazette - - LIFESTYLE -

HE is small, purple, hilarious and has a slight obsession with Cockburn mayor Logan Howlett. Luckily for Randy, one half of popular comedic duo Sammy J and Randy, he might get the opportunity to meet Mr Howlett when he performs solo at the Side Splitter Comedy Festival in Hamilton Hill. “I’ve been a big fan of Cockburn mayor Logan Howlett since his election in 2009 and performing in Hamilton Hill is the perfect opportunity to observe him in his natural habitat,” he said. “If anyone knows where I can catch a glimpse of Cockburn mayor Logan Howlett during my stay in the area, please write to me at The Unofficial Logan Howlett Fan Club, PO Box 1134 in your capital city.” Randy will join the likes of Matt Okine, Peter Rowsthorn, Tomas Ford, Famous Sharron and Suns of Fred on stage for the four-gig event, but said while he loved performing at regional shows, there was very little room to hide from his fellow comedians who might have a bone or two to pick with him. “Last time I was on tour with Matt Okine I charged $280 to his room service bill and cancelled his wake up call so he missed his flight,” he said. “Peter Rowsthorn still hasn’t forgiven me for what I left in his dressing room during the Singapore leg of The New Rocky Horror Picture Show tour in 1998.” The Side Splitter Comedy Festival is at the Cockburn Memorial Hall, Hamilton Hill on October 27, 28 and November 3 and 4.
