Changing face of fun in the park
DO you remember climbing the logs at May Drive Parkland in glorious Kings Park in the 1960s?
They were a fun – although probably considered hazardous by some by today’s standards – way of getting to the little island in the middle of the large pond.
This scene certainly looks different today.
The logs have been replaced the park in 2002.
It’s one of the many jewels of Kings Park that have certainly changed over the years, yet remained a popular playground and picnic spot.
Do you have a photo you’d like to share that evokes a special recollection? You might be tucking into a muffin with the kids at Stickybeaks Cafe or admiring the native plants at the Botanic Garden.
Wherever you are in Perth, whatever you are doing, we want to see it.
