You can also use your Home Care Pack­age funds to buy prod­ucts or equip­ment that will help you live com­fort­ably and safely at home from skin creams, ban­dages and con­ti­nence prod­ucts to home mod­i­fi­ca­tions like ramps and shower rails.

“Our com­mit­ment to con­sumer di­rected care means we don’t charge an exit fee if you de­cide to change ser­vice providers,” Mr Pin­der said.

“We see exit fees as a bar­rier to true choice and con­trol.

“For a num­ber of our clients we’re also able to waive the Ba­sic Daily Fee; this means that you can re­ceive ser­vices in your own home, fully-funded by the govern­ment, with no out-of­pocket cost to you.”
