Warm wel­come to area re­warded

WEST Aus­tralian Al­ter­na­tive Energy (WAAE) has do­nated a 10kw so­lar energy sys­tem to As­sist­ing Your Life to Achieve Inc (AYLA).

The so­lar com­pany moved from Bus­sel­ton to Cock­burn a few month ago and own­ers Sarah and Si­mon Bar­clay de­cided to give back af­ter the non-for-profit or­gan­i­sa­tion warmly wel­comed them to neigh­bour­hood.

“We came into AYLA to buy some fur­ni­ture for the of­fice and were swept away by the energy of the place and what they were do­ing as in­de­pen­dent char­ity for the com­mu­nity,” Sarah said.

The $10,000 so­lar sys­tem will save AYLA about 30 to 40 per with re­bates on its $1600 elec­tric­ity bill over the next six months. WAAE pro­vides com­mer­cial-scale so­lar energy sys­tems for in­dus­trial and agri­cul­tural use.
