Enjoy Christmas spirit at Gateway
COCKBURN residents are invited to get into the spirit of Christmas at Cockburn Gateway Shopping Centre from December 2.
The centre’s festivities will include a dance troupe, musicians and characters will parade through the shopping centre awaiting the arrival of Santa.
For the first time it will also introduce a “Sensitive Santa” who will visit the centre for a series of special Santa sessions in a calm environment for children with special needs to have a photo with Santa outside of normal trading hours from 9am to 11am on Sunday December 3, 10 and 17.
Cockburn Gateway Shopping City Centre Manager Ian McCosker said it was set to be a special December full of festive fun.
“Christmas is our favourite time of the year and we have gone out of our way to ensure that shoppers feel welcome and accommodated this Christmas season,” he said.
“We are especially looking forward to our new sensitive Santa sessions.
“Staff from the Autism Association’s First Steps Program will be there to support you and your child for a memorable and positive experience.
“Our menu of family-friendly events such as Santa’s arrival on Saturday, combined with the fact we offer over 150 specialty stores, makes Cockburn Gateway the ultimate shopping destination to make sure you are decked out with festive fun come Christmas Day.”
Customers will also be able to help charities Breast Cancer Care WA and the Salvation Army by having their gifts wrapped for a gold coin donation per gift.
