HOUSEWIVES GET REAL OVER BREKKY
SUBIACO Hotel got a taste of the glitz and glamour from the east coast with a visit from the Real Housewives of Melbourne ahead of its season 4 premiere on December 6.
Criminal barrister, entrepreneur and mum Gina Liano and quintessential “cosmopolitan housewife” Lydia Schiavello arrived in Perth on Sunday as part of a whirlwind promotional tour across the country.
Liano, an original cast member, said viewers could expect a fun series and one she hoped they would enjoy.
The straight-talking mother-of-two said the core group, who had been joined by her lawyer friend Venus BehbahaniClark and former magazine editor and hotelier Sally Bloomfield, would see a softer side to some of the characters, including herself as she mourns the death of her father.
Despite previously having a rocky relationship with Schiavello, Liano said the duo were tighter than ever.
“Lydia was there for me during a tough time,” she said. “I didn’t have to ask, she just turned up and helped out with whatever I needed.”
The entertaining 12-part one-hour soapdoc looks at lifestyles of the wealthy and extravagant women in exotic settings and high-end events.
The series also airs in the US, UK and Canada.
The show will air on Foxtel’s Arena channel from Wednesday, December 6, at 8.30pm.
