‘Everyday’ entrants sought for swim

Cockburn Gazette - - SPORT -

THE third annual Port to Pub swim from North Fremantle to Rottnest Island is an attractive proposition to mum of two Corinne Zadow.

“The great thing about the Port to Pub is I know lots of the people doing it, and it’s easy to catch up with each other,” she said at the launch of the event at Fremantle Surf Lifesaving Club.

Ms Zadow did her first solo crossing in 2017 and will swim the 2018 event in a team of four with her mother, father and sister.

Started in 2016 to give swimmers an alternative to established swims to the island, Port to Pub organisers said they wanted “everyday” people to swim the 19.7km course. Registrations for the March 17, 2018 Port to Pub swim are at www.porttopub.com.au.
