Bottom of table looms for Dockers

Fremantle was pipped at the post by Adelaide at TIO Stadium on Friday, with the 6.4 (40) to 5.6 (36) result ensuring the Dockers would miss finals for a second straight year and see them lagging at the bottom of the AFLW table.
Dana Hooker, the 2017 club champion, was stellar in the fourpoint loss, recording 20 disposals and two goals.
Full back Ebony Antonio again proved her versatility with a 16disposal game, capped with one goal. Sadly, it was not enough. Despite being hampered by a quad injury, Erin Phillips guaranteed the Crows would enter the final home and away fixture with their hopes of winning consecutive premierships still alive.
Phillips kicked three goals to see the Crows finish round six sitting fourth on the table, just a draw behind top spot, with one match to go.
The top two teams progress to the grand final.
The Dockers host last-placed Carlton at Fremantle Oval on Saturday at 2.05pm.
Adelaide plays Collingwood on Sunday.
