Fundraiser with a touch of MKR

Cockburn Gazette - - NEWS -

IT wasn’t an ordinary fundraiser for Kerry Towers-Dubery.

Miss Towers-Dubery said not long ago a family member died from Leukaemia.

“I promised him I would raise money for the Ronald McDonald House to help other sick children,” she said. “I wanted to do an event that I could possibly raise a little more money that I could donate as it really is a worthy cause.”

The Fremantle resident said it was her first large event to raise money for RMH and was inspired to ask contestants Jazzey and Stella from My Kitchen Rules for help.

“I was thinking outside the square and I saw a story on Jazzey and Stella and I thought it would be great if they could promote my event,” she said. “I managed to contact them and they fitted me in their busy schedule. They were absolutely wonderful.”
