Success mural unveiled.

Cockburn Gazette - - NEWS -

A NEW mural is inspiring inclusivity at Success Primary School.

Bright, eye-catching colours were used to give the wall in the education support centre gym a makeover, with silhouettes also included to depict all the things students with disabilities could achieve through sport and physical activity.

Success Primary School associate principal Kaye Blackburn said they wanted the mural to highlight the importance of diversity and inclusivity in their school.

“The students have witnessed the creation from blank wall to the vibrant mural that it is now,” she said.

“They would see it when they visited the gym and went to the hydrotherapy pool for their weekly swim lessons, and their gasps of delight and happiness in their eyes on seeing it has been wonderful and inspiring.

“Melissa Wall, from Pickle Design, and a parent from our school developed the design, drew and painted the mural.

“This is the first mural of this size for our school and it is timely for it to be done in our 10th year (since) opening.”
