Keyed up to perform THE GARAGE DOOR SPECIALISTS THERE will not be any offkey notes in Fremantle in April. The Australian National Choral Association will host Choralfest 2019 in the town from April 13 to 16. The four-day event will include 70 performances from choirs and choral specialists. Choirs will include Kapiti College Chorus from New Zealand, Beulah Mass Choir from Botswana and SAS World Voices from Singapore. Australian National Choral Association WA chapter president Nicholas Bannan said it was a great way to bring choral music to the masses. “Singing is intrinsic in our day-to-day lives,” he said. “Whether you sing in the car or on a stage, singing is all around us. “Choralfest celebrates this and brings leaders from around the world in the field of education, conducting, vocal development and more into one place.” Fremantle Mayor Brad Pettitt said Fremantle would be alive with music. “There will be about 2500 singers in around 40 choirs performing in 17 venues across the city,” he said. “The week after Choralfest we have the Fremantle International Street Arts Festival, so April is shaping up to be a huge month in Freo.” • A/H Emergency Repairs • Servicing (All Brands) • Parts (All Brands) • Domestic • Commercial • b&d Accredited Techs • Sales (Free Quotes) • Sectional Doors • Insulated Doors • Designer Doors • Roller Doors • Commercial Roller Shutters NORTH METRO: 9204 3957 SOUTH METRO: 6250 6488 MANDURAH: 9555 3388 Pig out on good luck www.89s.com.au SHOPPERS will have the chance to bring home the bacon as part of Garden City Shopping Centre’s Chinese New Year celebrations.
