INSPIRED by her own pregnancy, Kate Vivian became a Hypnobirthing Australia practitioner.

Born into Calm renamed Bright Mums is a childbirth education program, which aims to remove the fear around birth.

The Bright Mums owner said after her first child, when she fell pregnant with number two, she wanted a better approach to the birth.

“Hypnobirthing is not just for hippies, it’s really about taking it back to basics by using techniques such as breathing, massage, acupressure and selfhypnosis,” she said.

“Bright Mums came about in order to help others have the positive birth experience they deserve and to give them the information they need to make the best decisions for themselves and their baby.

“I now work with couples to remove the fear from birth and help them find the joy in pregnancy, birth and beyond.”

Mrs Vivian said the classes are designed to be very hands-on.

“This way mums-to-be and their partners have a chance to practise the techniques and gain confidence as they lead up to their birth,” she said.

Mrs Vivian said in midlate 2019 she wants to offer pre-natal exercise classes and then post-natal and mums and bubs classes.

Kate Vivian wants pregnant mothers and their partners to have a positive experience.
