MU­SIC AMICA is hold­ing its next con­cert on Satur­day, Septem­ber 21, at 7.30pm in the Ap­ple­cross Unit­ing Church. So­prano Emma Pet­te­merides, bari­tone Robert Hof­mann, cel­list Sacha McCul­loch and pi­anist Tom­maso Pol­lio will per­form a beau­ti­ful se­lec­tion of songs and mu­sic through the ages, in­clud­ing works by Wag­ner, Richard Strauss, Bern­stein, Gersh­win, and Le­har. Pet­te­merides per­forms a wide range of reper­toire, in­clud­ing opera, classical cross­over and musical the­atre. The tal­ented group of mu­si­cians will be joined by emerg­ing artist, so­prano Sophia Wasley. En­try is $25 at the door and in­cludes sup­per.

THE CITY OF MELVILLE BRIDGE CLUB is of­fer­ing a four-week course at the Melville Recre­ation Cen­tre dur­ing Oc­to­ber. The course with Bill Symons runs for two hours on Tues­day evenings on Oc­to­ber 1, 8, 15 and 22. Ar­rive 7pm for a 7.15pm start. Rock band The Floors will de­but Come Un­stuck, their third stu­dio al­bum launch, at MOJO’S BAR on Fri­day, with sup­port from Old Blood, Filth Wizard and DJ Holly Doll. Doors open 8pm, tick­ets from Oztix.

EAST FRE­MAN­TLE PRI­MARY SCHOOL is bring­ing on the nos­tal­gia at its Spring Fair on Oc­to­ber 26. There will be gourmet food on of­fer from mo­bile ven­dors and stalls, live mu­sic and lo­cal artisans show­ing off home­made jams, Christmas cakes, jew­ellery and cloth­ing. From 2pm to 9pm kids can take part in games and com­pe­ti­tions, while adults can grab a drink at the pop-up bar or just take in the spec­tac­u­lar views. THE BIBRA LAKE FUN RUN is on Sun­day from 9-11am. Start­ing from the cor­ner of Gwilliam and Progress drives, the run is all about fit­ness, fun and com­mu­nity, and is free to en­ter. There are prizes for the top three male and fe­male run­ners aged 12 and un­der, 13-17, 18-55 and 55 and over, as well as group awards for the largest sports club team, largest school team and largest cor­po­rate team.
