WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO EMBRACE #TENTLIFE?

We originally came from Orange County, California. We were sick of working just to live, never having enough money to explore. With a two-year-old, and another baby on the way, we packed up and headed to New Mexico where my wife Katie’s family is. While renting a house, we discovered we had an acre of undeveloped land in my wife’s name and could live on it for free. Who the heck wouldn’t do that? We went through every tiny house possibility, but they were all too expensive. When I heard about people living in ‘wall tents’ [similar to a square yurt], Katie thought I’d lost my mind. But, we save US$1600 a month in rent.
