De­tec­tives are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a rob­bery that oc­curred on Mon­day, May 21. At 3.15pm, a man in his 20s was walk­ing across Gwynne Park when two men ap­proached him. One man pulled on his back­pack and caused him to fall. While he was on the ground the men stole his mo­bile phone and ran off to Town­ley Street, head­ing to­wards For­rest Road. The of­fend­ers are de­scribed as be­ing be­tween 20 to 30 years old with dark skin and short spiky hair, wear­ing dark cloth­ing. Po­lice want to speak to any­one who saw the in­ci­dent or the men be­fore or af­ter the in­ci­dent, in­clud­ing res­i­dents nearby with CCTV footage or driv­ers with dash­cams.


At 10.20am on Sun­day, April 29, a group of peo­ple en­tered a com­mer­cial prop­erty on Brook­land Street and rum­maged through a work­shop and of­fice. When alarms were ac­ti­vated the group left. The men were last seen wear­ing dark cloth­ing, light-coloured gloves and their faces were masked.


At 1.15am on Tues­day, May 29, a 30-year-old man who po­lice were look­ing for was found at a home in Can­ning Vale and ar­rested. It is al­leged he was in pos­ses­sion of a shot­gun and am­mu­ni­tion at the time of his ar­rest. The man was also charged over in­ci­dents in April and May in Gos­nells, Mt Na­sura, Kelm­scott, Can­ning Vale and Bal­la­jura. He was charged with 13 of­fences in­clud­ing two counts of ag­gra­vated armed rob­bery, threats to kill, dis­charge firearm to cause fear and de­pri­va­tion of liberty.


De­tec­tives are ask­ing the pub­lic for help with in­ves­ti­ga­tions into an in­de­cent as­sault on a train on Fri­day, May 18. Po­lice said the fe­male vic­tim boarded the train at the Kelm­scott sta­tion and sat next to a man who, dur­ing the jour­ney to Oats Street sta­tion, al­legedly in­de­cently as­saulted her. The vic­tim got off the train at 10.55am and was ap­proached by an­other woman who said she had seen the al­leged as­sault. A 43-year-old Madding­ton man was ar­rested and charged with in­de­cent as­sault.


Two men have been charged af­ter an as­sault in Oak­ford on Sun­day, Fe­bru­ary 11. Po­lice al­lege the two men were in a ve­hi­cle driv­ing past the prop­erty when one of the men en­tered by climb­ing over a gate. Po­lice said the 71-year-old man and 64-year-old woman who lived at the home were then as­saulted. On Tues­day, May 29, a 32-yearold man of no fixed ad­dress was ar­rested in re­la­tion to an­other al­leged as­sault. He was also charged with griev­ous bod­ily harm and ag­gra­vated as­sault oc­ca­sion­ing bod­ily harm re­lat­ing to an in­ci­dent in Oak­ford on Fri­day, June 1.


Search war­rants were ex­e­cuted at prop­er­ties in Seville Grove, Quairad­ing, Keller­ber­rin, York, Wa­gin, West Bus­sel­ton and Brunswick in May. Drugs in­clud­ing methy­lam­phetamine, cannabis and a cannabis plant were al­legedly found and seized. Eleven peo­ple have been charged with 60 drug-re­lated of­fences.
