Great Dane leads ARKS to vic­tory with four-try haul

A FOUR-try haul to Dane Jobe has helped ARKS Rugby Union Club to a 58-27 win over Wan­neroo Dis­tricts in their Premier Grade match at Har­ris­dale Field.

The high-scor­ing af­fair was dom­i­nated by the hosts, who led by 14 points at half time and never looked back to claim their sec­ond win of the sea­son.

De­spite miss­ing key play­ers Saula Fi­tifa and Cameron and Har­ri­son Orr, ARKS re­sponded well af­ter go­ing be­hind early, with quick tries to Jobe and El­liot Turner giv­ing them the lead.

Gra­ham Sul­li­van and Rus­sell Burges added two more tries to fur­ther ex­tend the lead be­fore the break.

Jobe grounded an­other just af­ter half time and de­spite some bet­ter re­sis­tance from Wan­neroo, ARKS con­tin­ued their dom­i­nance to record a con­fi­dence-boost­ing win.

ARKS re­serves weren’t able to share the suc­cess, go­ing down to Wan­neroo 72-14, while the third grade went down to Wan­neroo 15-0.
