Dis­cover Manch­ester-based agency Stu­dio Zenko and their work with lux­ury fash­ion brands

Cre­ativ­ity, strate­gic think­ing and the abil­ity to work with clients in a per­sonal and in­vested way – these are the USPs of Stu­dio Zenko, Manch­ester’s new­est brand­ing agency. Al­ready, the stu­dio is mak­ing a pow­er­ful vis­ual im­pact with its clients in fash­ion, and founder James Fox sees a range of new op­por­tu­ni­ties on the hori­zon.

“I’m fas­ci­nated by peo­ple – what we share, what makes us dif­fer­ent, what makes us tick and what drives our emo­tions,” says James. “Be­ing able to cre­ate or in­sti­gate some­thing that ac­tu­ally holds some mean­ing and makes a gen­uine con­nec­tion with our au­di­ence – whether com­mer­cially, cul­tur­ally or eth­i­cally – is what I find re­ally sat­is­fy­ing.”

Stu­dio Zenko has come about in an or­ganic way. Af­ter spend­ing 13 years work­ing for other agen­cies, James de­cided to go free­lance, tak­ing on his own clients and bring­ing other cre­atives in to sup­port him as re­quired. The projects got big­ger and big­ger, so he de­cided to form his own stu­dio and he be­lieves Zenko is the kind of thing brands are look­ing for.

“A lot more brands are open­ing up to the ben­e­fits of work­ing with ex­pe­ri­enced, spe­cial­ist con­sul­tants in a more flex­i­ble way – es­pe­cially on a strate­gic level,” says James. “I think our more per­sonal, in­vested ap­proach is re­ally ap­peal­ing to both big and small brands.”
