Hav­ing recorded the re­place­ment horn parts live at his stu­dio (see p55), Toby handed them over to Brad for pro­cess­ing. “With those, [we used] a few set­tings that were used on the GDC al­bum,” re­mem­bers Brad. “An API 2500 com­pres­sor, and then I added Sound­toys De­cap­i­ta­tor, which I put on ‘Pun­ish’ for all horns, be­cause I think they do need to be dis­torted re­ally.” “Pun­ish all horns!” laughs Toby. “Ini­tially, I think we used ei­ther Val­halla Vin­tageVerb or the Gal­axy Tape Echo’s spring re­verb,” Brad con­tin­ues, bring­ing the horns up in the Logic project, “but then be­cause [Toby] added ef­fects from Prince Fatty’s setup, th­ese don’t have any verb on them at the mo­ment.
