NIALL MOODY FRAGMENTAL
Niall Moody was one of the first freeware philanthropists on the scene, releasing oodles of excellent plugins bearing the ndc Plugs badge. Fragmental remains among his most useful. A multieffects processor, it combines a delay with a granular processor, three phase vocoders, a ‘reversinator’ and a trio of modulation sources. Routing is handled via a unique ‘pie chart’ representation scheme. If Fragmental has an achilles heel, it’s the 7680 samples of latency introduced by the phase vocoder – but it’s a small price to pay for this wicked Windows wonder. It’s open-source, too, as we like to see. niallmoody.com/ndcplugs/fragmental.htm
