1GB of icy ambient drones, beds, subs, textures, noises, drums and percussion – 152 samples in total – drawing on synths, sampled instrumentation, found sounds and field recordings. The hi-hats have been separated from the drums for mixing and matching, and the rest of the sounds are similarly open to experimental mixing – the Ableton Live project positively encourages such activity with its blockedout Session view. The sounds range from clean and uplifting to fragmented and glitchy, and the contrasts that emerge work well. An interesting sonic resource. modeaudio.com
