Nektar Bolt
The debut soft synth from MIDI controller makers Nektar is billed as “the first Harmonics Synthesizer for VST/AU compatible DAW platforms”. Generating harmonics directly within its two main oscillators, Bolt doesn’t need a filter for frequency-sculpting – tones are entirely shaped using the Harmonics and Rolloff knobs. Beyond that, things get more trad, with two sub oscillators, eight unison voices, FM and oscillator cross-modulation, two ADSR envelopes, three LFOs (at up to 10kHz) and four effects presented in an “elegant and easy to use” interface. 500+ factory/artist presets seal the deal.
