1 To start using Smart:EQ+’s intelligent curves, first select the magic wand icon on one of the middle four bands, then play through a representative section of audio. Avoid long silent sections, and if you want to add another section to the analysis, click the tick icon in the node box and play back your audio. 2 To apply the smart curve, drag the node up or down. The value is shown as a percentage rather than in decibels, indicating the amount of curve being applied – you’ll see the filter curve take shape as it increases. You can also manually adjust the frequency and Q of the band. 3 There are two further key controls on each filter. Sensitivity affects how aggressively the filter attempts to fix detected issues and is adjusted in the floating box. Smoothing, in the bottom panel, determines how gentle the curve is. Adjust both to attain your desired level of filter precision.
