> Step by step 6. Automatic EQ with HoRNet Plugins ThirtyOne

-

1 Thirty One’s AutoEQ function works in two modes – Static and Continuous – selected with the button at the bottom left. In both cases, the analyser speed ( Int. Time) at the top left also influences how fast the algorithm adjusts the EQ. A further AutoEQ Compensation option provides us with default and custom curve bias options. 2 Insert the plugin across your master output and select Static mode with the analyser speed at 0.25s. Play some audio and gradually increase the AutoEQ Amount to around 40%. You’ll see the band gains automatically adjust, then settle after a few seconds. Increasing the AutoEQ Amount further exaggerates the established band gains. 3 Now try Continuous mode. Here, the band gains adjust continuously as required by the algorithm, so selecting a slower analyser speed ( 1s or 4s) can reduce any twitchy behaviour. Finally, select Custom Compensation mode and use the band sliders to specify some additional target frequencies. Here, we’ve boosted four HF bands to show the result.
