> Step by step 19. Low-end enhancement with Boom Library Enforcer
1 To get started, load Enforcer as an insert over a signal that lacks bass – we’re processing a snare here. Load the Init preset and turn the dry/wet mix to 100% so you’re only hearing the effect. Adjust the upper Main threshold until you hear the effect, and adjust the lower Retrigger threshold so that the effect triggers each time. 2 Now let’s adjust the effect pitch. You get two pitches and a pitch envelope. Enforcer starts at the low pitch and moves to the high pitch and back again, based on the envelope. For our sound, we have a short pitch attack and decay, and have adjusted the two pitches for the desired low to mid thump. Now you can blend this with the dry signal. 3 Next, adjust the amplitude envelope. We’re setting the Attack short as we want the full transient, but could extend this to prioritise the original snare attack. We can try lengthening the Decay to extend the sustain of the snare.
