7. Editing multiple audio tracks at once
1 Cubase’s audio editing is among its greatest strengths, especially since it’s been made accessible in the lower Zone, but in v10 it’s been made even better! Let’s look at a project with a few drum tracks. Double-click one to see it in the sample editor below. 2 Using the Shift key to select multiple audio files in the Project window, we can now see multiple audio waveforms simultaneously, which makes it easier to ensure that our edits mesh with the other tracks in play. Here, we’ve selected track 2, as well. 3 Click Show Selected Audio Events to see both tracks’ waveforms at once. Contrasting track colours make them easier to distinguish, so we’ve chosen a different colour for track 1. Use the Currently Edited Audio Event dropdown to select which event to edit.
