For an instant chiptune feel, head to the Groove Criminals/Bent Hits folder and piece together a beat using these circuit-bent one-shots. If you’re looking for something more melodic, most of the Bent Perc sounds are tonal – throw one in a sampler and program a bleepy GameBoy-style riff.

In the Cyclick/Voice folder, you’ll find a raft of BPM-categorised vocal loops, glitched and stuttered to the max. Like all

cm samples, these are royalty-free, so feel free to use a loop wholesale in your latest track. Alternatively, slice ’em up and use smaller vocal chops for more individuality.

Other standout folders include Groove Criminals/Beats, which contains glitchy drum loops and breakbeats at 100, 130 and 175bpm; and Groove Criminals/Glitch FX, with its flavoursome zaps and sweeps.
