Toontrack EZbass

Another NAMM highlight, Toontrack’s new addition to their EZ line is described as a “revolutionary bass software instrument”. Like EZdrummer 2 and EZkeys, EZbass not only gives you access to a wealth of sampled electric basses for playing or programming via MIDI input, but can even do the hard compositional work for you thanks to its onboard smart sequencing and song construction tools.

Amp/cab simulation and effects are also built in, making the whole thing as much an easy-to-use one-stop shop for mix-ready electric bass as its siblings are for drum kit and keyboards. Toontrack’s Erik Phersson, explains: “EZbass is a bass player as much as it is an immaculate sound library”.

EZbass is still very much in the pipeline, with a ‘no-promises’ suggested release date of Q4 2019 and pricing TBA. Rest assured though, we’ll be bringing you more news as we get it.
