Dope Wax Beats £30

The sequel to Dope Wax Beats (8/10, cm238) rolls out another 1.4GB of 90s hip-hop-influenced samples. The loops are generous in their length, most of them clocking in at four or eight bars. The 55 beats (many with separated tops – 79 files in total) are excellent, merging the humanised grooves of classic hip-hop with a sonic clarity that keeps them relevant to modern production; and guitars and keyboards take centre stage for the 45 sublime music loops.
