Intended as a partner to their heir Latin Cuban Drums package, ge, but eminently usable in its own wn right, Toontrack’s new hand drum um and percussion EZX gives EZdrummer rummer 2 and Superior Drummer 3 users a plethora of multisampled d congas, bongos, timbales, , cowbells, woodblocks, triangles, angles, chimes, cabasas, maracas, s, tambourines and more to play with, complete with a library of instrument-specific MIDI patterns. The samples in Latin Cuban an Percussion’s 3GB library were performed by ace percussionist Richie Flores, and sound fabulous from top to bottom; and having the full set of instruments mapped across the keyboard together (from A-1 to G8!) simplifies the workflow when layering instrumentation into an ensemble. We also appreciate the comprehensive roster of conga, bongo and cajon articulations, enabling anyone with an understanding of their technicalities to perform/program utterly convincing lines with these highly-nuanced instruments.

A priceless resource for anyone without the means to record a live player, but also a one-stop percussion shop.
