Following the news that Apple have added Spatial Audio to their Apple Music service, they’ve also confirmed that authoring tools for the immersive standard will be coming to Logic Pro later in the year. Does this mean that we’ll all be creating ‘3D mixes’ soon?

Can’t get enough of Brian Eno? Well, he’ll be debuting 300 previously unreleased tracks on Sonos Radio HD. “You will be listening to a sequence of tracks which will be randomly generated, … so there is the possibility of odd, I hope exciting collisions,” he says.

Back to Apple, and while Eddy Cue, head of Apple Music, is a big fan of Spatial Audio (see above), he’s not convinced that Lossless Audio, another of his service’s new features, is such a big deal. In fact, he admitted that he can’t actually hear the difference.
