Hits n Kits

Another Cyclick classic set – take it away Rob! “For this collection we’ve got a sack full of drum hits, kits and loops (Rex 2 format). The Assorted Hits have all been recorded from drums lying about the studio here at the Sandpit, as part of drum setups as well as on their own. These hits range from nice snares (Ludwig Black Beauty and a Pearl Maple shell piccolo) to the trashiest of cymbals (cheap, nasty and usually with bits missing). Each drum or cymbal has been hit in a number of ways to get a range of tones that will create more flexible drum patches.

“The ‘Kits’ folder contains a variety of drum kits, both acoustic and electronic, that have been culled from sessions recorded here, as well as eight kits from the Kurzweil K2600r. Lastly there are over 60 Rex2 loops created from some of the kits featured here. Most have not been processed in any further way, but some have been given some final effects treatments.”
