SampleTron 2

IK Multimedia has brought its SampleTron 2 plugin to the iPad. This contains emulations of not only tape-based samplers such as the Mellotron and Chamberlin, but also digital variants such as the Mattel Optigan, Vako Orchestron and 360 Systems Digital Keyboard.

In fact, a total of 11 models are included, all of which are designed to look just like their hardware counterparts. You can choose from 400 tracks, with three being available for each preset. An edit mode lets you fine-tune your sound, and there’s a comprehensive effects section.

SampleTron 2 for iPad runs either standalone or as an AUv3 plugin, and is available for the intro price of $70.
