4. The new features of Fathom CM2

The new features of Fathom CM2 include a new Fractal Reverb which you can treat just like any other component module and drag and connect up. Here we have added it to our simple modulated saw sound, created earlier. 4

You can also change the UI skin by clicking on the middle circle icon in the group of five buttons to the top right of the central screen. Click it and select from 16 different skins – this one is the fourth option! 2

There’s also a new delay, shown here on our modulated saw sound and placed after the reverb, with that effect bypassed in green. 5

Metamorphic Oscillator is a feature only available in Fathom Vector, but you can cheat and load it into Fathom CM! Load Trance Destroyer 2 from Trance Warehouse Volume 2. It includes a Metamorphic Oscillator. Click on it to show all oscillator pages. Metamorphic wraps most of the current oscillator tech into a single oscillator with which you can morph any waveform parameter you like. 3

And don’t forget that with any component you open, you get all of the various parameter options listed at the bottom of the UI to tweak. Here are those from Fractal Reverb, for example. 6

There are also some fantastic new sound banks included with Fathom CM2 worth over $60 if bought separately! You can access these by clicking the Browser button – they are within the Programs folder. Fathom CM2 is a great update to a fantastic synth, and we hope you enjoy using it as much as we have.
