Softube update Console 1, but not to Console 2

Console 1 is Softube’s highly-regarded hybrid mix platform which is a hardware controller for plenty of the company’s effects… and some. It’s been around since 2014 and we loved the cheaper MkII released in 2017 (that wasn’t called ‘Console 2’). This has now been updated (but still not by enough to warrant a ‘2’) with new meters, workflow enhancements, support for more UA plugins plus improved fader and knob movement. The price is around £350 which is half its original tag. Very nice, but we didn’t get our ‘console yourself’ pun in. Shame.
