Analogue Waveforms
Groove Criminals’ second new sample pack switches to analogue…
“Again we have sampled the raw waveforms of our stash of analogue synths to give you a collection of simple, fat analogue tones.
“Alongside the classic SH-101 and Yamaha CS5 (unfairly overlooked compared to its bigger brothers), we’ve raided some more modern but just as classic analogue synths. The Moog Mother 32 has been a favourite for a while now due to its fat sound and small footprint as well as the Korg MS20 Mini which still sounds beautifully rough and aggressive.
“We’ve also thrown in a couple of rackmount synths from the 90s: the FAT FB383 is a fully analogue 303 clone and the Super Bass Station, another underrated two-oscillator gem from Novation. We’ve topped these off with Behringer’s Wasp clone.
“Finally, we threw some of the synths through pedals to distort the waveforms a bit. The Baby BugCrusher has been our bit crusher of choice for years now and our modded Daddy O and Corruptor bring the fuzz.”
