The original iRig Stream has proven so popular that two more have been added to the range: Solo and Pro. With Stream, three sources, like a set of decks, mic and audio line in, can be connected to your phone for streaming via a multitude of socials. Solo also allows three sources, but you’ll need a Lighting to TRS connector to iPhone. For streamers who want to talk over a music source and stream the results over their phone, it’s the perfect cheap, compact solution, but it won’t connect to your Mac and PC, which is where the Pro comes in. Here you get multi-channel recordings and four inputs, so you could be playing guitar and singing to a backing track – all streamed together. Pro is therefore a lot more flexible, but the important thing is to bring in your computer, to carry out swift edits. Of the two we’d probably go for the more expensive just to have that extra instrument input. There are standard audio interfaces for that kind of cash that might do it more flexibly.
