4. Arping on

-

1

Creating arpeggios and now monophonic sequences with the latest Sequence option is super easy. To get going we’ve loaded up an arpeggio ready sound ‘Velvet’ and deactivated the Digital Delay effect in the Effects Panel. We’ve also reduced the Amplitude Env release to about 700ms. 2

In the Multi page make sure the Player icon is active in the header, then open the Player Panel. With Arp mode selected, we’ve loaded 1/16ths Arpeggio 04 from the dropdown on the left and adjusted the 8th step pitch offset from -10 to -9 for a cool minor-sounding, one-note arp. 3

If we now switch this over to Seq mode you’ll see each step has a specific pitch. We’ve set these to play a tune. You’ll see that the note sequence plays irrespective of the MIDI note you use to trigger it. Finally set the playback to Gate mode so that it plays for the duration of that MIDI note.
