JESSICA & MICHELLE

Sugar, spice and everything nice made this day perfectly sweet

Cosmopolitan (Australia) - - Bride -

Doughnuts, lolly bags and a pastel colour palette were the cornerstones of this lovely ceremony for photographer Jessica Yates, 25, and project manager Michelle Reid, 28.

DATE: November 16, 2017

GUESTS: 110

THE DRESSES: Jess: I had my dress made by a dressmaker. I love styles like Grace Loves Lace but wanted to design my own. Michelle: I tried on lots of dresses at wedding dress shops but then my mum found the perfect one on eBay! I felt like a boho princess.

VENUE: The Riverstone Estate in the Yarra Valley in Victoria. Breathtaking views, lovely staff, festoon lights everywhere...

CAKE: Our cake was made by our mums. We wanted a doughnut cake, but also an actual cake to cut. It was Krispy Kremes with a mud cake on top, covered in macarons. FIRST DANCE SONG: Latch by Sam Smith

BRIDESMAIDS: We had five bridesmaids and two bridesmen and their outfits were bought separately as we wanted them all to be different and comfortable. We loved the look of different styles in the same colour palette.

THE VIBE: We went for boho, with a teepee arbour, handmade signs and f lowers. Our favours had bottle openers from Etsy, lolly bags and handmade hangover kits.

WE STUMBLED ON THE VENUE AND FELL IN LOVE WITH IT

EVEN OUR SCENT (FLORA BY GUCCI) WAS FLORAL

JESS MADE ALL THE BOUQUETS WITH FAKE FLOWERS

THE SIGNAGE WAS ALL HANDMADE
