HISTORY AND SCENERY A stunning combination of river valley, and mountain backdrop with a number of historic hamlets sprinkled around the district. DERWENT VALLEY Come to the area in autumn to see the spectacle of majestic trees such as oaks, willows, and elm light up the valley in autumnal tones.
